Van Der Burgt Grains is getting a boost from the government for expansion.
MPP Matthew Rae says $500,000 has been provided to supplement the company’s total investment of $7,212,015 to build a storage facility and specialized sensing equipment to increase capacity.
First established in 2007, VDB Grains has grown and expanded to meet the needs of the growing Ontario agricultural sector.
This new project will increase volumes and expand the market, adding six new jobs in Perth County.
Steve Feeney, CFO of VDB grains says they are grateful to the province for supporting the project which has allowed them to expand meet the needs of farmers across the region.
