It’s the 9th year for Van Allen Insurance for their annual BBQ for Cystic Fibrosis.
The Van Allen’s have been holding this fundraiser in support of their son, Wade who is affected by Cystic Fibrosis.
Shane Van Allen says its his staff who all started the idea and grew it into where it is today.
“So that’s the one that started when Wade was diagnosed at two weeks old. It was within that first year the staff wanted to do something for Sarah and I. This is their baby and their idea. I swear some businesses must close shop for an hour because they’re all here.” said Van Allen.
Hamburgers and hotdogs will be available for purchase for $10 as well as a silent auction taking place.
Last year saw a major turnout with well over $15,000 raised in support.
The BBQ runs from the Van Allen Insurance building on May 18th from 11:30am-1:30pm.
