The Food and Drug Administration in the US has given the Covid-19 vaccine made by Pfizer and German BioNTech full approval today.
The vaccine was previously being administered under an emergency use authorization.
The approval represents the highest level of endorsement by the FDA.
The US becomes the first country to fully approve the shot.
