United States and Canada in talks to extend loan of AstraZeneca doses

2 Countries working on deal to bring more AstraZeneca doses on loan

 

There are reports out of the United States of a telephone meeting between US President Joe Biden and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

The basis of the discussion was on a deal to bring currently unused doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine sitting in the US to Canada.

The AstraZeneca vaccine is yet to be approved by the FDA State side.

Canada has previously receive a million and a half doses from the US on a loan.

The US has administered over 200 million doses of Covid-19 vaccine.

This is more than double what the US President had pledged in his first 100 days in office.
