The Brussels Morris and Grey Community Centre is celebrating its grand opening with the help of a $3.5 million investment from the Canada Infrastructure Program Grant.
The $.8.4 million project saw a slew of funding and supporting include just under $2 million from the Government of Canada, $1.8 million from Huron East, $469,000 from Morris-Turnberry and over $2.5 million in donations from a successful community fundraising campaign.
Huron East Mayor Bernie MacLellan says this projects reflects their dedication to enhancing the quality of life in the community.
The new addition to the centre comes with more modern dressing rooms, upgrades washrooms, a new lobby, fitness gym and new viewing area.
