Canadians should be expecting an update within the next few days about the federal governments plans on reopening the Canada-US border and how they intend to roll out and re-allow travel between both countries.
Intergovernmental Affairs Minister Dominic LeBlanc says it will be a modest phased re—opening plan. Non-essential travel in and out of Canada has been restricted since March 2020 in response to the pandemic.
LeBlanc saying a type of “covid-19 passport” to show proof of vaccination for travel is a consideration.
As of Tuesday, over 2 million in Ontario are fully vaccinated.
