United Way Announces North Perth Kickoff of Campaign with New Co-Chairs

Launch event supports United Way with donations from all Food Orders

 

September is here and the United Way Perth Huron was proud to announce recently the North Perth Campaign Kick Off, sponsored by Ward and Uptigrove, happening on Friday, September 17th.

The kickoff entitled “United for a Bite” supports the United Way through the order of takeout lunch for staff from 1 of 6 participating restaurants on the 17th. The Atwood Cafe Restaurant, Joanne’s Homestyle Catering, Diana Sweets, The Kitchen Cupboard, Veky’s and Roadhouse 23.

Their goal on the afternoon is 1,000 meals served so they hope all local business go on board on Friday, September 17th to buy lunch for their employees.

Five dollars from each meal goes to the United Way Perth Huron. The deadline to p re-order your meals is Monday, September 13th at non.

Ward & Uptigrove is also hosting a food truck in their parking lot from 11am to 2pm featuring Berlin 95 Mobile Hot Spot for German Food and Funnelcloud food truck.

Ten percent of food truck sales go to the United Way.

Campaign Kick-off also marks the official introduction of Rob & Leslie Edney as campaign co-chairs replacing Martin & Kathryn Ritsma who served as co-chairs for 3 years.
