Despite Americans being able to cross the border, it still will not be the same for Canadians looking to head south.
The United States government has extended the closure of their border for both Canada and Mexico until at least September 21st.
The call to keep the border closed is due to the spreading Delta variant according to U.S officials.
The Canadian border has been open for fully vaccinated Americans since August 9th with a plan to open for international travelers next month.
