Unattended Candle Leads to $150,000 in Damages

A blaze in Erin on Saturday has resulted in $150,000 in damages.

Fire crews from Erin and Hillsburgh were called to the structure fire at 2:25pm on Main Street.

When crews arrived they reported smoke coming from two sides of the structure with everyone inside the building able to get out safely.

The involved structure was a one story single family home which sustained smoke damage.

The fire is said to have started in the rear bedroom with the cause from an unattended candle.
