Students with the Upper Grand District School Board are getting hands on experience to support a local affordable housing project.
Over several days this month, students from Centre Wellington District High School have been on site with Habitat for Humanity Guelph Wellington staff and skilled trades mentors.
The students are helping with framing and carpentry projects for Garafraxa Village, a new affordable housing project in Fergus.
Students have been measuring, cutting, framing and more gaining knowledge in skilled trades and helping bring affordable housing in the community.
