UGDSB Holds Program Committee Meeting

Work will be submitted to Wellington Archives and Royal Ontario Museum

The Upper Grand District School Board recently held a Program Committee Meeting.

They discussed various items on the agenda including a collaborative effort started through the Headwaters Ontario Health Team and local school boards.

It saw area youth submit any kind of creative items to express their experience of the Covid-19 pandemic. Jenny Marino, the Mental Health Addictions Lead for the school board explains the response they saw.

“We ask people to send any kind of creative items to us to express their experience with COVID-19. It was really wonderful, we had a total of 87 submissions.” said Marino.

Some of the youth’s video work will be submitted for a possible event at the Wellington Archives.

They will also be submitting them to an exhibit at the Royal Ontario Museum on Youth Experiences of COVID.
