The Upper Grand District School Board is shining a light on their Sustainability & Climate Action Pool over the next several years.
A highlight of energy involves the board looking at reducing greenhouse gas emissions and lowering costs of operating schools.
The board is taking action at energy efficiency including reducing energy use by 12 per cent per square metre by 2028 compared to 2023 levels, expanding solar polar with more solar panels installed on school rooftops and upgrading LED lighting across schools and board sites by 2028 to reduce electricity use.
