The Perth County OPP have received numerous reports of frauds over the holiday season.
Unfortunately, two similar incidents just before Christmas in North Perth have resulted in a loss of around $5,000 for two separate victims.
They both received calls from someone claiming to be a family member who was in jail after a collision and needed bail money.
A supposed lawyer told the victims a supposed bondsmen would come to their homes and collect the cash.
In both instances the person of interest is described as a black male, between 20 and 50 years of age, 5 feet 5 to 5 feet 10 inches in height and wearing all black clothing including a black toque.
Police urge the public to stay alert and educated to reduce the risk of being the victim of fraud.
