Two Listowel District Secondary Students and teachers have received honours from the Excellence in Public Education.
Students Samantha Gerretsen and Heni Nuraini as well as teachers Christine Wick and Lisa Thomas have received awards.
The Excellence in Public Education awards are given out to those who have contributed to making school a better place to learn and work.
Samantha is recognized for her leadership bringing in new and unique ideas.
Heni is best known for her positive attitude and patience with fellow students.
Lisa Thomas is well respected among colleagues and her students with a level of care, empathy and compassion.
Christine is known for leadership as the department head in the English Department and giving students activities to practice in the yearly literacy tests for grade 10 students.
