US President Donald Trump has gone through with his 25 per cent tariff on Canada and Mexico for all imports with a 10 per cent levy on Canadian energy.
Trump says there is no room left for America’s closest neighbours to negotiate out of the tariffs saying both countries would have to build a car plant and other things in the US to get the levies removed.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says they are responding with 25 per cent tariffs against $155 billion of American goods.
Trudeau says Canada will not let this unjustified decision go unanswered.
