The minority Liberal government has survived a non confidence vote in the House of Commons 211-120 but Trudeau isn’t considered out of the woods with the Bloc Quebecois threatening to change their stance by the end of October.
Yves-Francois Blanchet and his caucus joined the NDP and Liberals in voting against the Conservative motion of non confidence but added the Liberals have until October 29th to pass two Bloc bills or he’ll talk with other parties about toppling the government.
One bill increases the old age security pension for seniors and the other looks to protect Canada’s supply management system during the international trade negotiations.
