Trinity Bible Chapel in Woolwich Found in Contempt of Court

Church and directors all fined

 

Trinity Bible Chapel in Woolwich has be found in contempt of court for holding service during lockdown.

The church and six of its leaders were charged as Justice Paul Sweeny said the church willfully disobeyed court order. The church has been fined $15,000 while a senior pastor and associate pastor face $5000 fines.

Three directors were fined $3000. All fines are in relation to the service held on January 24th. Justice Sweeny also said the church must pay the legal costs of the case of $45,000.

The Attorney General of Ontario was asking for the church to face a fine of $70,000.
