Traffic Stop Turns Up Methamphetamine and Steroids

On Sunday October 2nd at around 7:43pm, a Huron County OPP officer initiated a traffic stop on Victoria Street in Wingham.

After viewing the license of the driver, it was revealed their license was suspended.

After learning of this information the officer then arrested the driver and searched the vehicle.

Officers were able to locate drug paraphernalia, trafficking materials, suspected anabolic steroids and currency.

A further search also found the passenger to be in possession of suspected methamphetamine.

The 41 year old driver of Durham and 36 year old of Mildway were both charged with Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking and Possession of a Schedule IV Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking.

Both will appear in Goderich court on November 21st.
