The Town of Erin joins the rest of Wellington County to permit the use of off-road vehicles on town owned roads.

Mayor Allan Alls brought forward a motion back in June to reconsider its policy on allowing off-road vehicles on town roads.

The bylaw which passed in council prohibits off-road motorcycles and extreme terrain vehicles on any highway within the town.

This is to remain consistent with the rest of other municipalities in the county.

Off-road vehicles will not be permitted on roads in town between the hours of 11pm-6am.

Other rules include not to be on community centre grounds, or near churches or funeral homes when services are in progress or near a school during 8:30am and 4:30pm during the school year.
