One man will soon begin his trek to bike across Canada all while raising funds for cancer research.
Tom Harnett recently lost his stepfather to brain cancer and Harnett being a survivor of both testicular and prostate cancer is taking his shot to raise awareness and funds who will start his biking journey on June 1st.
In a post over GoFundMe, Harnett writes this isn’t just a trip but a mission as every step he takes is one for fighters, survivors and the ones we’ve lost.
Harnett says he’s well prepared for trek ahead.
“I’m rather experienced I’ve been across Canada now 9 times, hitchhiking mind you but this will be the first time I’m doing the cycling trip. I’ve cycled lots of time in the past and I’m a very experienced cycler.” said Harnett.
Harnett has launched his fundraising over GoFundMe with a goal to bring in $10,000 for the Canadian Cancer Society.
Those can follow along on his journey with updates expected over Instagram.
