With the municipal election set for October 24th, one name out of the ballot in North Perth was longtime councilor for the Listowel Ward seat with Terry Seiler.
Seiler made the choice to not seek re-election who had filed his papers earlier this month but had made the choice to withdraw last week saying he wishes to spend more time with family and give the next generation of council to serve the municipality.
Seiler was first elected in 2000 and held his seat for multiple years, only losing once in the 2010 election.
The 67 year old has served five terms on council and served as a Listowel Firefighter for 25 years.
