The GOJHL Future Stars & Top Prospect Games was held recently in Ayr and for local pride it was a success seeing a pair of Listowel Cyclones make the trip for the showcase.
The future stars game saw the best of the leagues 16 year olds.
Tate Vader was among those who shined, recording an assist with Team Black in a 3-1 win
Defenceman Aidan Renaud was part of the roster on team black.
The Top Prospect Game saw Team White see strong production from Stratford Warriors Forward Hunter Nagge with a goal and Elmira Sugar King defenceman Liam Eveleigh with 2 assists.
Team black came out on top in the prospects game 6-2 over team white.
Overall a successful day of junior hockey pride in Ayr which did not take place last year due to COVID-19.
A show was put on the ice leading to an outstanding experience for players, fans and scouts.
