Wellington County’s Taste Real Fall Rural Romp is quickly approaching for September 28th, giving visitors and locals alike the chance to get out and explore the heart of the county’s agriculture sector.
The Rural Romp which is held twice a year, one in the spring and another in the fall gives an inside look of farm and food tours meeting with local farmers, taste makers and discovering food destinations across the county and the City of Guelph.
Christina Mann, Manager of Economic Development for Wellington County says the romp gives everyone a great chance to get close with farmers and learn more about their food.
“There are lots of different opportunities. Some farms offer small guided tours, you get to meet the farmers and talk to them directly about how their food is grown and produced and I think that’s what makes the Fall Rural Romp really unique, you get really close to your food.” Mann.
This year’s Fall Rural Romp features 21 different locations offering up unique stops with farm tours, local food sampling, farm animals, greenhouse visits, hikes, corn mazes and farmers markets.
The Romp runs September 28th from 10am-4pm.
