On November 11th just before 7am, Huron County OPP received a call of a person on an ATV around the Dungannon area in a suspicious manner.
Police responded but were not able to locate anyone. Officers received another call shortly after of a suspect who broke into a shed on Dungannon Road and attempted to steal an ATV.
The owners were able to detain the suspect until police arrival.
A search by police had found the suspect in possession of suspected methamphetamine, a stolen ATV from Perth County and other stolen items.
After checking their ID, police also learned he was wanted by South Bruce OPP.
As a result a 31 year from Ripley has been charged with a slew of offenses including 3 counts of Break & Enter, 2 counts of Mischief and Possession of a Schedule I Substance.
The accused remains in custody with a court date later today in Goderich.
