Wellington County OPP have charged a 29 year old following a case of intimate partner violence.
On April 12th at around 7:40pm, police were called to a report of a disturbance on the shoulder of Highway 6 just north of Fergus.
Prior to police arriving, the suspect had left the scene in the victims vehicle. At 11:20pm, police saw the suspect operating a different vehicle and was stopped.
As a result a 29 year old of Elora has been charged with three counts of Spousal Assault, Mischief Endangering Life, Taking a Vehicle without Consent and Flight from Police.
The accused was held pending a bail hearing.
