On March 7th at approximately 3pm the Wellington County OPP responded to a disturbance at an address on Tower Street South in Fergus.
It was reported that a suspect entered a retail store and became involved in a verbal altercation with a store employee. The suspect proceeded to commit an indecent act. When asked to leave the store, the suspect assaulted the same employee.
A 55 year male of Fergus has been charged with assault and indecent act in the public contrary to the criminal code. The accused will appear in the Ontario Court in Guelph on April 9th to answer to the charges.
