The Perth County OPP have Highlighted the Problem of Stunt Driving today after 5 Drivers were caught driving with excessive speed across the County.
On November 20th just after 10am an offer stopped a vehicle on Line 39 in Perth East after it was clocked going in excess of 140 km/h in an 80 zone and failed to stop at a stop sign.
A 20 year old female of Stratford wash charged with stunt driving and failing to stop for a stop sign
On December 3rd Officers stopped a vehicle on Perth Line 43 in Perth East after it was clocked travelling in excess of 135 km/h in a 80 zone.
A 40 year old male of Kitchener was charged with stunt driving.
The next day, December 4th, just after 9am officers stopped a vehicle on Perth Line 43 in Perth East after it was caught on radar travelling over 132 km/h in an 80 zone.
A 30 year old male of Stratford was charged with stunt driving.
The following day, December 5th, just before 2am officers stopped a vehicle on Perth Road 164, south of Atwood, that was travelling over 164 km/h in an 80 zone which was more than double the limit.
A 16 year old of North Perth was charged with stunt driving.
And finally the next day, December 6th, just before 11am officers stopped a vehicle on Perth Road 180 in West Perth after it was clocked in excess of 139 km/h in an 80 zone.
A 43 year old male of Saugeen First Nation was charged with stunt driving.
In all cases the drivers license was suspended for 30 days and a 2 week impoundment of each vehicle was done.
