The City of Stratford is warning residents of coyotes being seen around.
In a statement, officials say while coyotes are usually wary of humans and avoid people wherever possible they can be more aggressive during mating season or when protecting a den.
Tips residents are asked to keep in mind include to keep your distance, never approach or touch a coyote and back away from the coyote and remain calm.
