The Stratford Rotary Dragon Boat Festival is set to roll out on the Avon River next month.
The festival set for September 13th got the approvals have been put in place to pump additional water into the river to ensure it will be deep enough for the event to be had and all to enjoy.
“This festival is about much more than racing,” says Gary Wreford, Chair of Sponsorship and Publicity.
“It’s a celebration of resilience, hope, and the strength of our community—especially visible in the return of our breast cancer survivor teams, who inspire us year after year.”
With the support of sponsors, volunteers, teams and spectators the festival has reached the $1 million raised mark which will support a wide range of initiative such as the Stratford Rotary Complex, Rotary Hospice of Stratford-Perth and the Rotary Respite House.
