Stratford Police seized a .22 calibre Ruger carbine rifle, which was altered to function as a handgun, a loaded handgun style BB gun and a loaded .22 magazine clip as well as drugs during a traffic stop on April 13th in Perth South.
Police conducted the stop just after 12:30pm after observing the vehicle was being driven by a person with conditions not to be in contact with it’s registered owner.
Drugs found in possession of the 51 year old male resident of Stratford were hydromorphone caplets and crystal methamphetamine.
The drivers was taken to Stratford Police Headquarters and charged with nine seperate charges including several weapons offences as well as two for possession of a controlled substance.
The accused was being held in custody to attend a bail hearing.
