Stratford planning Good Governance sessions this Fall

Sessions will take residents through an in-depth understanding of municipal government

The City of Stratford, in what they say are efforts to provide their citizens with a better understanding of how the City operates, including the role of Council and administration are planning a series of interactive public info sessions this fall.

Ian McCormack, a local government expert and author of “Who’s Driving the Grader and Other Governance Questions” will spend some time with interested citizens talking about the role of local government.

The 4 Part Interactive series is set to include:

  • Overview of City Government
  • Understanding Roles in the City – Mayor, Council, CAO & Admin
  • Engagement in Local Government – How you can get involved
  • City Finance – Where the money comes from & goes to

Stratford Municipal County says there will be more information on the sessions, including how to participate in the coming weeks.
