Stratford-Perth Pride is holding a one day summit in August for rural pride organizations across southwestern Ontario.
The summit, open to any pride or 2SLGBTQIA+ organization in southwestern Ontario who is interested in becoming more intersectional in the rural offerings.
The summit will mainly focus on intersectionality, a framework on how people’s overlapping identities and experiences such as race, gender and sexuality do not exist independently of each other.
There is no cost to take part in the summit taking place at the Arden Park Hotel from 9am-5pm on August 20th.
AJ Adams, President of Stratford-Perth Pride says the Crossroads Summit will be a starting point for pride organizations to learn how to be truly welcoming and accepting to intersecting identities of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community.
