The Stratford-Perth Humane Society has received a $30,000 grant from PetSmart Charities of Canada.
The grant money will go directly to the Community Veterinary Outreach Program. Anya Barradas from the humane society says everyone is very grateful for the grant to help them push forward with the program.
“We’re very grateful for this grant. What this money will allow us to do is purchase the startup equipment that we need to get the Community Veterinary Outreach clinics going” said Barradas.
The outreach program allows those living with shelters or experiencing near homelessness have access to veterinary services.
