Stratford Perth Humane Society issues Urgent Appeal in Critical Animal Case

The cost for care is estimated at roughly $4,000 and the Humane Society is issuing an appeal to the community in support of her road to recovery.

The Stratford Perth Humane Society took to Social Media Monday afternoon to share word of a young dog that came into care in critical condition.

In the post they say their team found a foreign body and removed it from the animal. It then headed to the Emergency Veterinary Clinic of Waterloo Region for ongoing monitoring for extreme dehydration and pain management and antibiotics.

The cost for care is estimated at roughly $4,000 and the Humane Society is issuing an appeal to the community in support of her road to recovery.

They say anything raised above and beyond what is needed for the animal will go to helping other animals needing veterinary care like she did.
