Stratford-Perth Centre for Business Keeping Busy Supporting Local

North Perth council heard from the Stratford-Perth Centre for Business during Monday’s council meeting diving deep into small business and entrepreneur programming.

Among the work the Centre for Business has done, the Starter Company Plus program was one of which with its local impact.

Success stories such as Erin Swinkles with Pearl Inspirations, Connor Gadd with Coffeelover Marketing and Kelty Terpstra with Cakes with K were shared.

Holly Mortimer, says since March 2024, they’ve kept busy in supporting local businesses in multiple avenues.

“We helped 27 new businesses start, 26 business sustained, we helped 33 businesses expand such as help move, hiring or a second location. We created along with the clients we support over 173 jobs.” said Mortimer.

Mortimer also shared her thanks for the continued support from the municipality for supporting small business in the communities.
