Earlier in the year the Stratford-Perth Archives launched a new newspaper database which acted as a discovery portal to bring together content from archives and libraries across the province.
This tool provides free online public access to old issues of local newspapers.
In the first six weeks since launch over 38,000 views of the Perth County database by users from across North America with pre-1950 issues scanned so far being available.
The Archives have 18 Perth County papers so far which includes the County of Perth Herald, Atwood Bee, Listowel Standard, Milverton Sun, Monkton Times and the late 1800’s of the Stratford Times.
