Stratford opens Cooling Centre ahead of Hot Weekend Ahead

Listowel residents able to reach Centre via PC Connect Community Transit

With extreme temperatures expected this weekend the City of Stratford has announced they will be opening a cooling centre at the Burnside Agriplex at 357 McCarthy Road West.

The air conditioned facility will be open Saturday until Wednesday from 11 am until 7pm.

There are washroom on site and water will be available.

The Ranch has confirmed that no Cooling Centre is being setup locally but Listowel residents can get to the Stratford Cooling Centre via PC Connect Community Transit.

The Splash Pad isn’t scheduled to be open in Listowel until June 19th. The area pools aren’t set to be opened until June 21st with the first public swim scheduled June 23rd.

Take PC Connect Route A to Stratford then get on Transit Route 3 in Stratford to be taken directly there.

Buses run every half hour in Stratford.
