Huron-Perth Healthcare Alliance CEO Andrew Williams has announced the Stratford General Hospital will be assisting Manitoba with its soaring numbers of COVID-19 cases.
A patient with the virus from Winnipeg is expected to be transferred to the Stratford General Hospital today.
Manitoba’s ICU capacity has jumped over the past few days.
Williams says patients outside the region, including those with resolved cases but still needing care at the hospital will be at 5 when the Winnipeg resident arrives.
