The Lieutenant Governor of Ontario Elizabeth Dowdeswell was in Stratford on Saturday to help celebrate Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee.
Also recognized at the ceremony was Champion Figure Skater and Stratford Native Jodeyne Higgins. She received a City of Stratford Bronze Star.
Higgins said of the honour that it was a privilege to have had the opportunity to meet the Lieutenant Governor on Saturday.
She adds that she was touched with her award and having her present made it super special.
Higgins was a pairs skater with her late husband Sean Rice.
