Stratford council has reaffirmed their intent to build a new YMCA on the Grand Trunk site.
Council entered a memorandum of understanding with the YMCA of Three Rivers.
The YMCA has been a part of Stratford for more than 150 years with a discussion of a new facility have been a lengthy plan.
Plans for the new facility include around 55,000 square feet of space, a wellness centre for all ages, an aquatic centre with a lap pool and warming pool, a licensed child care centre and specialized rooms for cycling, dance, pilates and yoga.
