Stratford council is going forward to purchase 6 hybrid Ford F150 XL pickup trucks and a hybrid Ford Escape to support the city’s climate action plan.
The truck together come at a cost of $467,000 with the SUV coming with a $66,000 bill.
The purchase of the hybrid vehicles is to help support Stratford’s goal to reduce community wide greenhouse gas emissions and achieve net zero emissions.
Its expected the hybrid fleet will improve fuel efficiency by 30 per cent.
