The Stratford Connection Centre is a place-based intervention for those experiencing significant challenges in their lives, including poverty, homelessness, addictions and mental health.
The organization is a partnership between Choices for Change, United Way Perth-Huron, the City of Stratford and Stratford Police.
The goal of the Connection Centre is to meet basic needs, to build social ties, connect to social services and build pathways out of poverty that provide dignity and choice.
Thanks to nearly $100,000 in funding through the Stratford Police, the Centre now has a mobile outreach program that brings the supportive services out into the community.
The Connection Centre is currently in need of donated items including: backpacks, reusable shopping bags, men’s and women’s underwear, t-shirts, jeans and shorts, Gatorade, frozen juice and juice boxes.
