There is still plenty of ice on the rivers and streams but the City of Stratford continues to urge everyone to stay off it.
Officials say while the ice does look tempting to lace up your skates, its is not safe to do so on the Avon River.
Open water is never completely safe due to many factors such as the thickness of ice on the surface changing with rising and falling temperatures, moving water under the ice, especially near the R Thomas Orr Dam where water is deeper can reduce the thickness of ice and a layer of snow can hide cracked or weak ice or even open water.
