The City of Stratford is growing to expand support for those experiencing homelessness.
City council has approved a motion to activate a warming centre at the Connection Centre at St Pauls Anglican Church which will be operated by the Canadian Mental Health Association of Huron Perth.
During the colder winter months, the warming centre will run 7 days a week from 10am-5pm and 7pm-7am to provide a warm safe space for those experiencing homelessness.
No beds will be provided but the service will have a resting space with tables and refreshments with hot meals available through community meal programs already in place.
