Staff and student excellence has been celebrated with the Avon Maitland District School Board.
As part of the Excellence in Public Education Awards, student achievement and teaching excellence was given the spotlight with award recipients including secondary students, secondary teachers, community members and support staff members.
District 8 Secondary Teacher President, Maureen Matchett says its important to recognize the examples of excellence in all areas of public education.
For Listowel District Secondary School, Katrina Klemp was honoured with the award given posthumously and received by parents Heather and Keith. Henna Patel and Angel Odin Lovaton Puga were recognized as students and Vice Principal Barry Promane.
