The St Marys Memorial Hospital’s Emergency Department has returned to regular 24/7 service.
The closure and reduction in services has been caused due to COVID-19 related staffing shortages which saw the reduction be removed as of 7am this morning.
A COVID-19 outbreak still continues to affect the hospitals inpatient unit with 16 patients and 6 staff members affected as of Friday.
The unit still remains closed to admissions until further notice.
