The St Marys Memorial Hospital will see overnight closures in the emergency department heading into the weekend.
The closure is a result of health human resource shortages with the reduction of services starting at 5pm on Saturday when the ED will close.
The department will reopen at 7am on Sunday and return to regular 24 hours of service.
Those needing medical attention can still call 911 with paramedics re-routing the nearest open emergency department.
