A standoff in St Marys has resulted in charges against a 35 year old man.
On June 30th Stratford Police responded to a home on Wellington Street where a man was said to be in possession of a firearm who had said to be threatening his ex-spouse at the address.
Police attended the scene where the man had barricaded himself inside. Negotiations were conducted with the man throwing an imitation air soft pistol towards police with a warrant eventually obtained to arrest the suspect.
At 10:30pm police entered the home, arresting the man without incident.
The 35 year old has been charged with two counts of Uttering Threats to Cause Death or Bodily Harm, one count of Uttering Threats to Burn Property and one count of Failure to Comply with Probation.
The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
