A long time tradition has continued for the St Marys Fire Department who pushed in a new truck on Wednesday.
The fire department welcomed a 2023 Freightliner Top Mount Enclosed Cab Pumper using the time honoured tradition to push in truck into the station.
The push in dates back to the 17th century when early hand drawn fire engines and other equipment required hand pushing into the station after every call.
The new truck replaces a Freightliner fire engine built in 1999.
The old pumper will be placed in auction in the coming months.
