Though the fire bans remain in effect across multiple areas locally, the special air quality statement has been lifted across Huron-Perth.
The lift come as smoke is no longer expected or has moved out of the area.
The air quality statement was lifted shortly before 5am this morning and applies to the entire region of Huron, Perth and Wellington Countys.
Its not known at this time if fire departments in each region will be lifting their fire bans and as it currently stands will remain in effect until a decision has been made.
